Hope this works, I don't want to be burned in a lake. :p xD
-----------

Name: Violet Cavilleri
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Power: Not sure how to explain, but she can turn off lights with a flick of her hand, move objects with her mind, light things on fire, create force fields, create allusions, talk to ghosts, etc. You know, regular things that warlocks/witches can do. But since she hasn't really been taught any of this, her power is pretty limited and she can't really control some of her powers. What happens, happens. And she gets tired easily when she does too much. So she isn't over-powerful, you can probably kill her really easily. Just tire her out, then attack.
Weapons: None, why need any when you can just put a horrid spell on your enemy?
Items: A knapsack with her clothes, some food, and a pocketknife
Alignment: Neutral, until convinced otherwise
Appearence: Violet has long night-black hair, blue-purple-ish eyes, is of medium build, and five foot six inches tall. Often wearing anything that's easy to move in, usually a pair of jeans and a blouse or t-shirt.
Personality: After being kicked out and left to take care of herself, she began to develop a different perspective on life. She puts up walls to protect herself, never letting anyone in. But every once in a while, her facade slips and you see that she's actually just scared and alone. Violet acts indifferent to most things, and takes whatever you throw at her without any response. But every now and then she explodes and gets her revenge. She's quiet and keeps to herself, but can be a bitch if needs be. Now-a-days she's back to loving life, but can be cynical at times.
Backstory: At first, she was lively child. Who lived life with zest, with vigor. She loved everything about the world around her, all the beauty. She lived a relatively simple life, had everything she needed, nothing more and nothing less. She was an only child and her parents adored her, and tried to give her a wonderfully, fairytale-like, happy childhood. She was over protected and never knew much about the cruel side of world until the day her parents were murdered. Everything went spiraling out of control after that. She was only 10 years old, alone, and was sent to relative after relative. All of which despised her, they said she was cursed. That she wasn't really her parents child, a child of some witch that had given her away. That her parents had done something and owned it to the witch, and so they had to care for Violet. That her parents secretly hated her guts, and if it wasn't for her, none of this would have happened. That the people who had killed her parents were actually trying to kill her.

All of this was to much for Violet to handle. Night after night she'd cry herself to sleep, only to be plagued with endless nightmares. Violet became unable to discern between her dreams and real life. She didn't care anymore, she didn't eat, and she cut herself. No one gave mind to her, everyone just avoided her, as if she was a disease. Isolation was even worse then when she was being scorned. The only thing that kept her from suicide was the memories of her parents. She knew she'd disappoint them if she killed herself for no reason. Even with the doubts that she had about her parents, she still couldn't help but hope they weren't true. During this time she began to learn that she was indeed different, she could make spells and do things that only warlocks/witches should be able to do. That's when she began to see what her 'relatives' had meant. She could use magic, and she'd never actually looked much like her parents. But she refused to believe that her parents didn't love her, they had treated her like a princess. Maybe it was out of fear for the witch that they had taken her in, but their love hadn't been fake.

Violet began to rebel. She saw that when she acted like everything was ok, it made her 'relatives' all the more mad. So that's what she did, she acted arrogant and thanked them for everything they did to her. Even all the beatings she took with a smile. But deep inside, she was hurting badly, and all of it was mentally killing her. She didn't let it show though, because if she did, she knew that they'd exploit that and make her life even worse then what it already was. By the time she turned 16, her 'relatives' kicked her out. They had let her stay far too long, and were tired of seeing her annoying face. So she left, she didn't have much but was able to do what she needed to survive.

Ok, I changed around this chara a bit and made her evil... Might edit her more later, but not much, the basics are the same.

Name: Kayla Morehouse
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Power: Persuasion--She can easily get people to see her way, and make others do as she wants
Electricity--She can control electricity of many forms, from lightning to electricity of regular items. Kayla can hack into computers, turn off security systems and open locks quickly.
Weapon: An electric whip, she found in laying around and "borrowed" it. It can change forms into a belt.
Items: Her whip and a bag full of clothes
Alignment: Evil
Appearence: Kayla has auburn-brown hair that's a bit longer than shoulder-length. She's of medium build, a bit athletic but not too much so. Her eyes are a green-hazel color, they change as her moods do; a bright green when she's happy to a murky dark hazel when she's angry.
Personality: A bitch at heart, do anything to her that she dislikes and expect something to happen. She's the type of girl that can be annoyingly impassive and uncaring at times, but just as soon turn around and stab you in the back when you least expect it. Kayla only opens up to people she believes won't hurt her, and the real friends she has, she is absolutely loyal to. Her moods effect what she does in battle, if she was annoyed that day, expect a hell of a fight, if she was bored expect her not taking you seriously and messing with you, and if she was in a good mood, she'll most likely ignore you.
Backstory: She had always been an outsider, never fitting in anywhere. Even when she was accepted, she always felt out of place. Her 'friends' would laugh about a joke, feel empathy of things, and she couldn't relate to them. Kayla just didn't fit anywhere. Life was just easy, boring, nothing new. The reason for all of this probably was because she was different, she could do things that others could not. Manipluating people was only one of them, people are just too easy to fool, it was just too easy to find their weakness and use it to her advantage. And it was fun, especially when she did it to people who had shunned her for being different. It was so exciting, but at the same time she felt sick of how exhilarated she felt because of it. It was disgusting, she shouldn't feel this way, but she did. She eventually decided that she couldn't change what she was, and besides she never did anything too bad, at least nothing to anyone who didn't deserve it...

Huh, Accepted, but be careful with that Persuasion ability.

I know it's not ready in terms of what we need, but I'm starting this anyways. .....Tomorrow at noon my time.

Sign-ups will still be open though.
