Life as a never ending diet

The ideal of female beauty has changed many times during history, from what would be called "Rubensian shapes" portrayed by the paintor Paul Rubens to close to the edge of anorexia models in the last decade.
So, we are thought by the media that you can never be to skinny and that there's always some extra pounds to get rid off.
Now, in all this where does actually healthy normal weight stands? Does such thing even exist anymore? Lately I feel like there are only 2 types: fat or skinny. It has come to the outrageous idea that USA size 4 (European 38) is big, and sizes as 0 or 2 are "good looking ones" the ones you are suppose to be. So, if you're a 0 or a2 you're perfect and everything higher that that is fat.
There's an enormous pressure for young girls and women by the society standards encouraged by the media to loose wait. Many times due to lack of knowledge or out of desperation to become "likable" they turn to things that will hurt their body and health for the long term: pills, starving, extreme dieting.
The consequences of the above, reflect in health affections such as: ulcer, infertility (slowly loosing your monthly period is a sign you're on the path of infertility), gastritis. This are some affects starving and lacking your body of the essential vitamins and mineral that it needs have on it on the long term.
Some of the side effects of diet pills are: gastrointestinal diet pill side effects may include: abdominal pain, nausea, infectious diarrhea, and rectal pain. Diet pill side effects have been hypersensitivity with symptoms of pruritus, rash, urticaria, angioedema, and anaphylaxis. Other diet pills work by norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine reuptake inhibition. One of these diet pill side effects is that it is known to substantially increase blood pressure in some patients. Serious dangers of diet pills of this nature can arise in those patients with a history of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, or stroke. Also, this type of diet pill is a controlled substance and can be habit forming. Other diet pill side effects from this type include: headache, back pain, abdominal pain, hypertension, palpitation, anorexia, constipation, nausea, thirst, joint disorder, insomnia, dizziness, anxiety,…

So, is this the price to pay for the so called beauty? And if it is, are you willing to pay it? If anyone tried some of the above extreme measures, perhaps has some insides to share.

Id just follow the BMI for a good weight. And that definitely does not mean you have to starve yourself to death in order to reach and stay in good shape, weight wise at least. Looks a lot better as well imo, I prefer people who have some meat on their bones.

The values of the BMI, are:
Below 18.5 Underweight 18.5 – 24.9 Normal 25.0 – 29.9 Overweight 30.0 and Above Obese
What I am trying to say is that even your BMI is between 18.5 – 24.9 a corespondent to lets say IBM 23-24 is in the range or 62kg-64kg, at an average size of USA4, so even in if in medical standards you are fine and normal, girls and women feel fat and overweight compared to what is seen in the media. Not to mention that by using adjustment with photo-shop, magazines create this image of flawless skinny perfect female. Especially in puberty/teenage years when kids are very vulnerable they look up to this models as aiming goals to achieve, even though most of the time are unreal images.
