Okay so I need some help finding a good priced laptop or Desktop that's great for video editing, and with video editing focus comes a huge price tag, but only want to spend about $700 ~ $1,100. and im not particularly in need of in any extra software and the like.Right now I sit with a cheap $ 340 laptop http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/hp-compaq-presario-cq60/4507-3121_7-33957601.html?tag=mncolBtm;rnav so it takes forever to render video. So if you can lend some help to a noob, Thanks =]

For video editing you're looking at a desktop with a high end processor and decent graphics card. There are two categories. High End desktop and Gaming PCs. The difference being gaming PCs always have better graphics cards. High End is a category that is for suckers. They buy it and can't do things that require graphics. Get yourself a gaming PC. You'll never run into trouble (for a while) because you'll have so much horsepower. This will help you out in the long run: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_II/If you want to spend a bit less I suggest you look at all their desktops with at least an i5-2500k processor and configure them with enough power at a lower price point. Their desktops are highly customizable. Sometimes they offer desktops with certain builds at $900 and you can probably configure a $600 one to the same spec for $800 instead. It's what I did.
