“Trying is better than NOTHING!” she said, exasperated. Zach was becoming rather pessimistic, not even trying to save his cousin. Of course, Aisa felt sympathetic, but still, not even trying is like sentencing Reks to his absolute death. Even if it wouldn't work, trying would be better than nothing, at least from how Aisa saw it. But, there was no way that she could lift Reks and carry him to the ward by herself.

“No... There is 'something' I can do...” Zach whispered angerly, ignoring Jason's warning, grabbing a rifle and firing at Falî's head. Jason immediately knew what Zach was going to do, and immediately reacted. He ran towards Zach just in time to knock the barrel away, saving Falî from her death. “What was that for?!” Zach demanded, extremely infuriated by what had happened. He lunged at Jason, and the two were locked in battle before Zach yelled and dropped to the ground, aggravated tears falling down.

Aisa sighed, feeling a bit helpless herself. She hadn't been able to do anything at all, and really, what could she do? “Once on a green and shiny mor-- Oh!” a girl said, looking shocked, and running over towards where the group was. She knelt down by Reks and mumbled something that Aisa hadn't been paying much attention to, because she had been paying more attention to what the girl was doing. The girl had begun to, what seemed like, to heal Reks. After a few moments passed, the wounds that Reks had incurred were gone. And a bit later, Reks had regained consciousness.

“Thank the stars...” Zach said, seeming quite grateful that his cousin was alright. Everyone in the group was happy to see that Reks was ok. “What happened? And how long have I been asleep?” Reks asked almost immediately after waking up. “Simply put---” Jason said, beginning to answer Reks' questions. Aisa was just as glad that Reks was healed as much as everyone else, but her attention was on a machine that was slowly making its way towards them. “You've got to be kidding me!” Aisa said, astonished, at the same time that Jason noticed the machine. “Everybody! Run!” he shouted. Aisa looked over towards Reks and Zach, wondering if what she thought was what was actually happening, and their faces confirmed it. “And so the Captain finally arrives...” she said to herself, shaking her head in disbelief at the current situation.

Drew looked up when he saw Fali collapse, so he saw the alien fighter come around for another pass. Ohh, shiiit... He was about to warn the others, but Jason beat him to the punch... and it was still too late. He saw the first few laser volleys kick up the rubble and sand, then everything was a tulmultous torrent of noise and wreckage, then things went black.
--------
When Jason shouted the warning, Austin didn't actually run, but he dove for the cover of the wrecked dropship. Huddling under what used to be a bulkhead, he wouldn't be able to tell how the next minute or so would progress.
--------
Taylor bounded off another wrecked building, watching Keith speed off into the Mojave, and meet with another figure. He had to shade his eyes when a torrent of bright blue flame came into being, the energies of the collision blasting a rift into the desert floor.
And that would be our 'Azure Warlock,' maybe? Taylor wondered, dashing towards the split in the ground and jumping into it.

He smiled at Joey's lighthearted comments, realizing perhaps that he was being a bit too serious for the occasion, or perhaps he was bit too serious for this new world as a whole. He found it quite strange that he remembered all of the etiquette that was hammered into him during his training, and yet nothing about when he was captured and deposited into a container. He also noticed that every time he tried to remember, a slight pang of pain in his head prevented him from thinking any further on the topic. While he was eager for that knowledge, he was in no hurry to obtain it. After all, amongst other things, he also realized that there was no going back.

He was not happy or sad at that fact; he was still doing his job as an arm of God -- investigating beings that had no right to be amongst the Children of God. 'Unnatural beings..' he thought, while looking around the new elevator as it made its way down, 'heh...' he smiles inwardly at the hypocrisy of it all. After all, what he termed as unnatural beings too were Children of God if there were an entire race of them, something which made their entire existence a form of denial. 'Or perhaps it is my existence which is the denial,' he thought, 'perhaps I was never meant to be in this new world.'

Noticing Joey smile at something, he looked in its direction, deciding for the moment not to think so much. "Motion sickness, huh? Sucks." Joey said, and Sol noticed the discomfort Nailo was suffering from. Flashing her a slight smile, he said, "this should be over quickly I think," and sure enough, the elevator came to a stop soon after. Walking out of the elevator, he followed Joey into a tunnel lit by ancient looking lanterns. Well, ancient in the sense that Sol did not expect to see such old age equipment given the current technological advancement he had seen on his way here, nor did he expect to find a tunnel inside a building...

Making his way down the steep path, he nodded silently at Joey's warning, and nodded again as Joey informed them of the highly classified nature of what they were about to see. He was slightly surprised at the last part of Joey's statement, but he decided to keep his view to himself for the time being.

"Who the hell is this?" Cronic thought to himself, keeping his eyes on the sorceress. "I'm probably thinking too much again..." Cronic thought to himself, and then listened in on the rest of the conversation. "Azure Warlock? I don't know who or what goes by that name, but just simply hearing it sent a shiver down my spine... Grand. There goes my focus. Now how am I supposed to come up with a plan?" Cronic thought to himself, folding his arms and then tapping one finger on the side of his head.

Through the Azure Blaze

It had all happened in a blur of motion. The Captain was near-unhesitant as always, shooting down the group quickly with the laser cannon. It was in a blaze of blue fire that the dry desert ground beneath them all ruptured and fissured, and they all began to fall. It was in that last moment that before Reks, and Zackary, could take one more step that they began to fall into the devouring depths below their feet. It was in that last moment that Reks thought those strong words once more. We're expendable...

Suddenly all hell broke lose. Someone screamed behind her and she turned to face back to the group when the ground shattered behind her in an ear shattering boom. She closed her eyes and got up, and began to run. Another beam hit the ground right to the left on her and suddenly she stumbled through the haze of a hollow space. She could feel herself falling downwards, and with a few desperate flaps she tried to get up, but with her broken wing the attempts was in vain and she fell to the dark pit below her.

Nailo looked down at her shoes . She was trying really hard not to show off how sick she was feeling. But it seems that was not enough. Joey looked at her and made a comment : "Motion sickness, huh? Sucks." He said. She gave her best to smile. But that didn't come out right. So she put her left hand on her belly. She muttered under her breath. : " You know. A neutral observer would think it is impossible for a biomechanicaly corrected human like me,to be sick. But it seems it is fairly possible." Nailo shruged.

Sol said to her silently with a smile : "this should be over quickly I think," in a compassionate manner. Just as he said it,the elevator reached it's destination. When the doors opened, only thing Nailo could se,e was a dark tunnel getting darker and darker. There was some light. But to Nailo it felt like some ancient tomb.

"Watch your step. It's a little steep down here." Joey said as he walked infront of Nailo and Sol.

"What I'm about to show you took alot of the government's money to cover-up. But I did so successfully, course had to lie about them to make it happen. So yeah, what you're about to see, at the end of this path, is of the highest classification. As I told you, I'm the only one who knows about this, ...well, the only human anyways." Joey said as he walked. Nailo sighed.

"More secrets?Oh my.." Nailo added. On a positive side. At least she did not feel sick any more. So she speeded up her steps.
Sol was silent. And Joey looked serious. So Nailo decided it is for the best to keep her mouth shut for the time being..

It's all coming together...

Keith, his dark prey, and the other who jumped in would fall into a giant chamber under the ground, it must've ben about a 30 foot drop into the abyss below, some would hit the ground which would seem like a giant crater of some sort, while others may land on something metal and a bit higher up. The chamber was dimly lit with lanterns all over the walls, and the sunlight illuminating as far as the size of the hole. The chamber was a giant cylinder of stone, but well carved as smooth stone at that. Clearly this wasn't the work of mother nature, it was almost as if it was a silo, or perhaps an underground dock. To the left and the right ends of the chamber were hallways of stone made the same way as the chamber, stretching far into the darkness.

But the true point interest, was what some may have landed on right near the center of this chamber, where the sun light couldn't hit, was a massive ship. Even to someone of the Anthros, this ship was like none in the fleet. It wasn't as big as the Infernas, but it was definitely at least a medium-sized ship, one that could be designed as a battle ship designed for quick combat more then a fortress-sized othership like the Infernas. The main hull looked like a gigantic triangle of equal sides, of which the top is pointing outwards indicating the bridge. Below and around the bridge, A weapon specialist could easily recognize the arsenal on it: 11 automatically, self-recharging pulse energy weapons and 5 holes seemingly specifically designed for what appears to be torpedoes. The sides of the triangular structure had what appeared to be legs in order to keep it balanced from it's lower rear when on land. On it's two sides appears to be doors used for passenger entrance/exit and a dock even for small fighters. Said rear is a light-grey and wide tunnel that stretches down, and curves outward until splitting into a fork of two thrusters, including a third thruster on the back of the triangle, which could very well be the engine room area. The anthros may recognize this ship, as it was all over the military's common news and rumors. The Prototype Nimbostratus class, the only one of it's kind, lost a year or two ago during a mission against the Asgards.

The Valkyrie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Captain flew over head at the cravice made by the mysterious strangers that everyone followed to hide from the lasers. Considering she couldn't see how down this hole took them, she can assume that it must've been a long drop, one that would kill people normally. Just in case, she had to follow them and get rid of them, as they were the only real opposition to the Colonel's plans. But this ship could fit through that hole, and to jump down could be suicide. There had to be a way to get down there, but how? All of a sudden, out of nowhere another hole appeared in the ground, this one much larger, and by the smoke, clearly made from explosives. "...Lucky me." She said as she dropped down into the hole. The others, concerned for their superior officer, were about to follow when she gave them a message. "Captain to all units, this could be a trap to lure us in, do not follow, I repeat, do not follow." She told them. The units, not wanting a repeat of last time, followed her orders and went back into position.

When the Captain landed on the smooth ground, she got out of her ship and looked at a tunnel right in front of her. This couldn't be coincidence, someone must have planned to have something come here. By the looks of the direction of the tunnel, it should lead her straight to the teams. She prepped his pistol and had her sword ready, then walked into the tunnel.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"...And here sh- ...what the hell?" Joey was saying as he walked into to the Cylinder chamber. He was shocked to see people down here, anthros he may have expeted somewhat, but their were humans too. He then looked up at the hole in the cieling. The gears turning as to how these people got in here. "I reinforced that door with titanium, how the hell did they get through that?" He asked. He then looked at his two companions. "...Get whatever weapons ready in case hostility ensues." He whispered to them, taking out his two pistols and mostly pointed them at everyone on the ground. "Either way, that's quite an entrance. Nobody move if you don't want to be daydreaming all your life about lead." Joey said with a smirk, unaware that there might be people who landed ON the ship.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You lucky i'm bound or i would send you back to the cosomos."

"Umm....No offence, I'm sure your strong since your a guy Capricorn likes to mention alot, and I don't like to brag but....I think the part of me being the leader of the elders, at least the word leader, went through one ear and out the other. Even if you weren't bound, I don't think you could throw me to the clouds let alone to the cosmos." Tai said.

"Jacob, I am in a dire need of your skills. I trust you have mastered the Dreamers I relinquished and gave to you ages past. Don't answer, don't nod, because if you haven't, I will deliver you in a five by five inches crate to your big bad boss."

"Nice to see you haven't changed at all." Jake said. "Now... I'm sure you've heard of the Azure Warlock's experiment, I know everyone in your little motley crew has. I need you to locate him for me. Time is of the greatest essence." She then said. Jake pondered; Experiments of the Azure Warlock....could she mean "him"? "You missed the kid not too long ago, He was on the hunt for your guy I think. I think I can trace him and find out what happened." Jake said. He then closed his mind as a blue fog appeared near the hole everyone fell in. Using them, he created a replay of what happened and then opened his eyes, now that of Falcons, which turned back to normal. "....Looks like he found what you're looking for. If blue flames mean anything, they seemed to have fallen into a hole far out into the Navada Mojave Desert. They're not the only ones either, I saw Taylor, the three anthros me and Tai helped and quite a few others fall into the hole as well, being chased by another in a ship. I can't see what's inside, it's too dark to see, but there's no doubt about it, at least one of the two you're looking for is down there." Jake told the witch. Tai then looked at them. "Then we're going to have to help them out. Geo, I'm not forcing you to help us, but I suggest you do." He said. Tai then looked at Cronic. "You're coming too, right?" He asked.

Austin stirred a little. "ET's... attacked by their own CO. Fighter blasted open the ground. I'm not dead?" he asked when his mouth was clear of the ground. "Urgh... Anyone else happen to survive that?" A little farther back, closer to the ship, Drew weakly called out, "Yo..."
-----------------------
"What in the fuckin'..." Taylor wondered, having landed on a spacecraft hidden in the cavern. It looked like the cousin of the fighters that harried the area, from San Diego to the ruins of Vegas. Much of the cavern beyond was lit by lanterns, though he couldn't make out whether they were oil or gas lamps. That said, the ship and cave was plenty interesting, but as he crept along the hull, away from what he assumed was the main entrance to the cave, he kept an eye out for those he had jumped into the chasm after.

Keith, or whatever it was that he had become, wasted no time getting up, seemingly unaffected by the albeit shorter fall onto the massive ship's roof. Breathing heavily, he turned his head in search of his prey. He saw another human up and about aswell. It was too dark to take in anything detailed but it wasn't his target, this one had a bomber jacket instead of a suit. When he squinted enough, he also saw this human lacking the ponytail and lanky figure. Definitely not him. And this man seemed to be the only one on top of whatever this thing they stood on was. Seemed a lot like those fighter ships the aliens were using but way bigger.

He was about to continue his nigh blind search as a familiar, azure glow from the edge of his vision caught his attention. His blood ran cold and panic set deep inside his human soul and he was about to hurry away from the light until the beast made the blood in his veins boil hot with unadultered fury. With a high-pitched roar, black matter erupted from his shoulder, engulfing all but his head. The matter was quick to solify into a what would seem to be an organic armour. Hungry, fanged maws of all sizes were placed all over his form, the notably largest one on his abdomen, streams of saliva dribbling down from its needle-like fangs. A pair of flexible, multiple-jointed spines had erupted from his shoulder blades, almost like scorpions' tails, the hooked tips a gleaming mixture of red, yellow, orange and white, very much like molten metal.

He turned towards the source of the light, sickly delight filling him as he saw his prey holding another one of those orbs that had earlier managed to break down the desert floor. Half a battle cry had escaped his throat as he began to pounce, unsurprisingly blown back by the powerful explosion and the ensuing shockwave from the azure orb.

He flew a good distance all the way off of the ship, his flight accompanied by his piercing scream of pain. it hurts it hurts it huRTS! He fell to the hard stone floor, his entire body coated in those agonazing flames. It didn't burn, not one bit. It felt like the flames were cutting into him like razors, eating his very being. Screaming and hollering, he rolled and twitched on the floor until the flames quickly died out, leaving behind most of the armour on his shoulders and arms missing, the flesh beneath badly cut. One of the spines was missing also.

The pain had pushed the hate down momentarily as he glanced up at the ship, wincing at how much it hurt to move. He maybe had a blurred vision right now, but wouldn't mistake exactly who stood on the edge of the ship. Gaiae Neroristus.

Gaiae was dressed in a fine suit, the twin tails of his coats flapping in wind that didn't exist. His black tie was loose and the two topmost buttons of his shirt had been unbuttoned, giving him a rather lax appearance. His form was very slender, almost feminine. Some of his black hair had been tied to a ponytail, the rest of his locks cascading down his face in a wavy manner. Brilliant scarlet eyes and an overly pleasant smile were the most striking features on him. With a single glance, he registered everyone present. Taking his time, he descended down to the rock floor of the chamber, as if stepping down invisible stairs.

He then spoke, his voice so soft, almost lofty: "Oh my, oh my... so many of you here already. Humans..." His eyes met Jason, Eileen, Raieon, Drew and Austin and briefly flickered at Joey, Nailo and Sol's direction. "Anthromoria..." his glance switched to Zackary, Reks and Aisa. "Even the Netixel this monster tried to lure into his web of lies with a promise of a safe return home." His eyes were on Falî as he gestured towards Keith's still twitching form. "And what a monster it is. Under the guise of a young man, lies quite a treacherous creature, fueled by raw fury and hate."

----

"Just missed him? On hunt for him? ...that only means I'm in a more dire hurry than I initially thought. I must make haste. Follow me if you will, I don't have time to wait!" with those words said, the witch left in a hurry, full sprint on her feet. Well, more like sliding on top of the ground as if she were on skates on ice.

The Sinister Aftermath

Elise opened her eyes weakly as she stared up at the gaping hole in the ceiling, the sunlight glaring in her eyes as she then shielded them with her right hand.
'What happened?' She asked, not to anybody specific. She then saw a shadow cast over her.
'We fell through the ground into a giant chamber.' The figure was Raieon, Elise could recognise the near-emotionless voice from anywhere. He offered Elise his hand and helped her stand up.
'Thank you very much.' Elise said with a small smile. She looked up and saw how far up the hole was. 'Wow... We fell a long way...' Elise then looked about and noticed that she was standing on something different to what she expected. 'Uh...?' Elise began as she tilted her head. Raieon tapped her on the shoulder and Elise turned around. She then saw the huge chamber and realised it was a ship she was standing on. 'Oooooh! I see! This is a pretty big ship!' Elise exclaimed as she clasped her hands together.

Raieon shrugged and still kept quiet. Elise shifted her lips to one side. 'Still not so talkative, are you?' Elise commented. 'Well, whenever you want to talk, just say hello. Hmph!' Elise folded her arms and turned around. Then she noticed a small shifted pile nearby that wasn't moving. She then ran over to it and saw it was an alien, a rather odd looking one though, wearing workman's overalls and with clipped wings. Elise closed her eyes again and seemingly prayed, touching the wounds and rubbing them softly as she hummed a little this time, only for her own choice. After her hummed song was finished Elise felt a bit more dazed, and then she fell back unconscious in Raieon's arms. Raieon said nothing as he lifted up and carried her in his arms. He began walking off when he looked to the girl.
'Get up, you don't look so bad now.' Raieon simply told the girl. He then looked out and saw an unusual sight.

Suddenly there was a burst of blue fire and the shockwave blew past Raieon as he kept his footing and held Elise close, still keeping his passive stance. He then watched as a mutant-looking figure ran off the edge of the ship to the abyss below. Raieon then looked to his left and watched as a rather finely dressed slender man that looked like the Joker or perhaps the Mad Hatter who'd lost his hat walked by. Raieon simply stood by, watching the man closely. He could tell a mix of intentions from the man, all very confusing agendas that made no sense to Raieon. The man looked over the edge and then around him, before descending into the cavern below. Raieon put Elise down beside Fali and then walked over to the edge to see what was going on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reks opened his eyes and shook his head as he slowly sat up, rubbing his head slowly as he took in his surroundings. He was close to Zackary in where they had fallen, in a huge cylyndrical chamber where the bottom to the ceiling seemed to stretch out a long way. The chamber was huge, carved out of the underground stone almost perfectly. Two entrances sat on opposites to each other on the sides of the cylindrical chamber. He then noticed Zackary get up and stretch a little, rubbing his back.
'Owie... That hurt...' He groaned. Reks chuckled and then stood up himself. Zackary looked about quickly and then up to the gaping hole in the ceiling, taking a step back as if in daze and whistled at the sight. Zackary then turned around and his eyes widened a little more. 'Whoa... Check it out...' The sunlight streamed down into the cylindrical chamber, but what more that didn't illuminate the darkness around the center was lit by old age lanterns. And in the near center was a huge ship, hidden in this underground dock. It wasn't as large as the mighty Infernas, but it obviously made up for what it didn't in sentinel size in perhaps firepower and speed. Zackary was clearly awed. Reks shook his head and touched Zackary's shoulder.
'No driving until we find out what's going on Zack.' Reks simply said as he then looked about.

This time, Reks took in the surroundings properly and checked out everyone that had fallen with them into the underground dock. He couldn't see Jason, Fali or the other four humans from before. A voice then sounded out, aimed at everyone that had landed around Reks and Zackary at the bottom of the underground dock.
"Nobody move if you don't want to be daydreaming all your life about lead." Reks and Zackary looked up, seeing another human, smirking as he pointed two pistols at the group on the ground. The man was blonde, wearing green clothing and a headband. There wasn't much else Reks cared to tell about from where he was. He just kept quiet and watched. Zackary looked at his cousin.
'Spectre Mode cous?' Zackary asked. Reks shook his head and Zackary sighed, easing his hands from grabbing at his rifle and shooting the man where he stood.

Suddenly there was an explosion and an ear-piercing scream that could be heard echoing about the chamber as Reks and Zackary looked up at where it had come from. In an azure fiery blaze, a disformed figure leapt off the ship and went a good deal of a distance in its fall. When it hit the ground, the fires ate away and consumed the figure as it desperately rolled about. It took a fair moment before the fire died out and left the sight of a sickly twisted and blackened mishapen monster. Zackary flinched at the sight and took a step back. Reks simply watched and then saw the mutant look up and he turned his gaze to where it was. There, atop the great ship was a slender man, dressed in fine black clothing with his coat flapping in an invisible breeze. He looked rather lax, some of his dark black hair tied back into a pony tail with the rest of his hair hanging down below his shoulder in wavy locks. The man's scarlet eyes were clearly visible, even from the distance Reks was at. In this instant, he knew this was man to be trifled with. He had looked about him, as if recognizing nearly everyone in the chamber at once, before he began descending into the lower part of the chamber below, stepping down what seemed like invisble steps. Reks kept a defensive stance, just in case he needed to quickly get ready.

As the slender man descended, his soft, seemingly gentle voice echoed off the chamber walls.
"Oh my, oh my... so many of you here already. Humans..." He began, looking about to the many humans around the chamber. "Anthromoria..." He had then glanced to Reks, Zackary and Aisa. "Even the Netixel this monster tried to lure into his web of lies with a promise of a safe return home." The man then said. Reks could only guess it was Fali he was talking about. Finally the man reached the bottom of the chamber, and had looked upon the filthy monster that had been writhing in pain before. "And what a monster it is. Under the guise of a young man, lies quite a treacherous creature, fueled by raw fury and hate." He chimed. Reks and Zackary simply stood down, letting the man do his monologue rather than interrupt and end up as most would-be heroes do when interrupting sinister monologues. Whilst they waited, Zackary commented.
'How did we end up meeting a really crazy looking man after almost being blown to bits?'
Zackary asked. Reks chuckled.
'Tell me about it...' He replied.

"You have no idea why i'm bound. It was the elders that bound most of my powers." He said as he felt a slight tug on his pants. "Alright alright. I guess I'll listen to you this one time Bane." He then looked at Tai then at Cronic and Jake."Just know once i'm done finishing my mission i'm out of here."

As the giant ship came into his line of sight, Sol was almost overwhelmed by the sheer level of technological advancement that must have been required to achieve a feat like its creation. While he would have loved to take the time to observe it, he wasn't sure if the bodies that were strewn all around the place was also part of what Joey wished to show them; and Joey confirmed his suspicions with his own surprise. 'I guess they aren't supposed to be here then,' he thought, and followed Joey's gaze up towards the ceiling, noting the giant hole in the roof.

"...Get whatever weapons ready in case hostility ensues," Joey whispered to them.

'Weapon, huh?' He thought, 'I guess I didn't tell 'em yet but... I can't materialize Black Keys without a verse from the Bible, or some other powerful Word of God...'

Almost absentmindedly, Sol inserted his hand inside his white priest's garbs, into the large pocket inside the garb where he would normally store the verses, knowing that while he had survived a cryogenic chamber, the verses would likely not; not to mention, he who had imprisoned him would probably have removed them. However, once his hand reaches the pocket he found that one shriveled up piece of paper still remained. Pulling it out quickly, he unwraps it...

'Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come unto her,' was written in it, in a beautiful old English calligraphy. A verse that represented the technological advancement achieved by Ancient Babylon, and how the Lord's Army struck it down at the height of its power, because they had aimed too far, and too high.

'How appropriate,' he thought with a smirk, as he held the paper in front of him with a hand and put his other hand on top of the verse. If he remembered right, this was the stance which he used to transmute the verses into the powerful weapons used by the Heretic Hunters of the Holy Church. A weapon against all things unnatural, and those things that does not belong amongst the children of God, a tool of peace and war at the same time. But try as he might, nothing seemed to happen...

'God... grant me strength,' he prayed, drawing upon all the conviction present in his heart, calling upon the Lord even in this Godless realm.

'Failed,' said a voice inside his mind.

'Huh..? What failed?' He replied, not really expecting an answer, but one did in fact come, an answer that surprised and scared him at the same time.

'The entity you're trying to connect to is not responding....'

'What!?' the panic that was ravaging his mind now almost showed up in his face, but that was only for an instant, and there was of course no response to his question from the strange voice within his mind. The next moment, the panic on his face disappeared and was replaced by a distortion, caused by extreme effort and concentration.

'God... is not an entity. He is Absolute. Get out of my head... whatever you are,' he thought, his hand almost shaking with the amount of concentration he was putting into his attempt to activate the transmutation. Something which he was so adept at doing before, which was done without effort, in a matter of mere seconds.

'I have lost much, but is it not You that promised to uphold me with your righteous hand....' he thought, 'surely... You do not break your promises.'

'Engaged,' spoke the voice in his head, but was readily ignored by him, but almost as if on cue with the voice, Sol could feel the mana stored in his body as well as that in the surrounding environment, being drawn towards him and the transmutation process starting up. But he could also tell that something was different this time -- instead of the gentle unseen wind that would cause his garbs to flutter during the transmutation process, he was presently almost being blown off his feet by something that seemed equivalent to a gale. Fortunately, it's reach wasn't that long, and was unlikely to affect anyone other than those that stood near him; and instead of the gentle unearthly glow that would light up the transmutation process in the past, this time, there was a bright green glow.

Once he was certain that enough mana had been drawn into the verse, which was still greatly more than usual due to the strange changes in his normal Black Key summoning routine, Sol drew his hands to either side of him, slowly drawing the gathered mana wider and wider until it was long enough to form the shape of the key. Suddenly however, he found that he no longer had control over one of his hands, which then proceeded to draw the mana a lot wider than he normally did, and by the time the transmutation was complete, and the green glow disappeared, he found himself staring dumbfounded at the weapon he had summoned.

Instead of a long black sword with two notches at the end which made it look like a key, he had ended up summoning a long black spear with a cross shape at the end, much like the spears used by Knight Templars of old. "Er... this..." he moved the spear around with both hands, "..will have to do I guess." he finishes his sentence with an awkward sigh. Sure, some heretic hunters preferred their keys to be a Cross Spear instead of a sword, but Sol had always used the sword version of the key and the current state of affairs was not exactly very pleasant for him.

Finally looking up, he noted that he had missed much due to his own internal struggle, but had looked in time to see a rather finely clothed man descending towards them using non-existent stairs. Sol simply couldn't think of technology having advanced that far, so he deduced the act to be one of magic, 'powerful magic,' he thought, scratching his head a bit and looking at the spear on his hand.

'Hm... let's see.... I lack the verses to fight a powerful opponent at the moment,' he thought. 'the one I have now will be more useful against technologically advanced weapons,' he glanced at some of the weapons strapped on both the human and non-human beings all over the place. '...against those.'

'Ah well... perhaps he isn't here to fight,' he thought optimistically, knowing all too well that groundless optimism would only take him so far, 'well he hasn't starting killing things yet... I guess.'

'Guess I will take a precaution, at least...' he thought, as he held the spear up with both hands before slamming it into the cold hard floor, and subsequently etching a few lines onto it with the tip of the spear. 'I used to be able to draw these seals a lot faster before I think...'

Tai then looked at Cronic. "You're coming too, right?" He asked. Cronic thought on that for a bit, then turned to look at Tai. "...Don't really get a choice. It's either I do come or I sit this one out. I know for a fact the latter won't benefit anyone." Cronic said, walking over to Tai. "So, where do we start in getting this mess under control...?" Cronic said, speaking to the wind afterwards. "We're so in over our heads right now, but we have to see this through."

Under ground.

It wasn't long before she hit the ground, back first once more. This time she felt something crack and she lost all ability to breath at the impact. Her eyes widened as she looked up to see glimpse of the sky before drifting in and out of unconsciousness. She listened as much as she could for her surroundings trying to figure out where she was. She could hear the booming sounds from the lasers being shot at the ground, and she could hear boulders falling into what sounded like a hollow space around her, a bit further down below her. It was almost as she could hear the breeze from above when she looked up and out, and longed to be there. How she hated to be under ground, below the surface.

She closed her eyes, her tail twitching a little from the occasional waves of pain that shot from her ribs and wing, and drew a breath. This is it then I guess. I am screwed and the lizards are ptobobly already on their way. Curse that simple spy mission. I bet he knew what was going to happen when he sent me out there. That bastard. Falî exhaled weakly as she thought about her commanding officer back on her home planet. Then out of no where she heard something that didn't belong to the space that she was in. At least she didn't think so. She could hear humming, a girls voice, singing something, and soon she felt ease to her pains. Am I dying...? A warmth emitted from the spots that were healed and soon she felt like she just had the greatest nap in a long time. Completely rested and fully recovered. Where am I again?

'Get up, you don't look so bad now.' The voice snapped her back to reality and she shot up from her lying position, just in time to catch a short glance at a strange looking man, carefully caring away a small figure as if in a rush when out of nowhere a bright blue flare struck the darkness away in the cave, followed by a semi-strong shock wave of some kind. Falî closed her eyes as a reaction to the sudden brightness and when she opened them up once more she saw that the man was back. He placed the figure beside Falî and looked at her, then he quickly left without a word.

Falî stood up with the help of a wing-flap and then immediately gazed upon her surroundings trying to get her bearings. Confused about what just had happened, but glad that she now, thank the Acfremos, was okay and healed from her previous injuries she then took a look at the girl. Why had the human entrusted her with such a hideous pink thing? Weren't they in war with all of the alien species like herself and the antrhos? Suddenly a shot of somekind echoed through the cave and Falî flinched. Yalîes! What the HELL is going on? First a flare, then a preassure wave, and now a gunshot. I don't need anymore trouble!!! What the he- A voice brutally interrupted her thoughts with the mentioning of her race;

"Even the Netixel this monster tried to lure into his web of lies with a promise of a safe return home."
Her head snapped towards where the voice came from and she soon spotted a slim, well suited human standing a bit further up above her. She stared at him in hatred and thought. Hell if i would take a promise like that, I can handle myself. She took a few steps forward to see whoever dared to insult her pride when she heard the clanking sound of metal for the first time. Her eyes immediately fell to the ground beneath her feet and it was first at that time that she realized that she was in fact standing on a building of some kind. In fact, when she turned to face the guy once more she realized what it was. A ship of massive scale was before her feet. A small 'woah' left her lips. How did she end up here?

Taylor crept along the hull of the alien ship, out of the shadows, closer to where Gaiae was addressing the others. This is the guy the witch spoke of? I'll admit, I expected someone slimier... Reaching down near his right leg, he summoned with a puff of flames a large-caliber pistol from wherever the hell he was keeping it into his right hand. Probably no mere mortal... But then again, neither am I. If I can get the drop on this guy, it should prevent a massive arcane slugfest. He crouched when he got a clear bead on the man. But maybe... maybe shooting him will just piss him off? Agh, screw it. Won't get another chance like this. He raised the pistol, aiming at the middle of the man's back, and took the shot.

Austin chanced getting into a kneeling position, since the taste of dirt and rock got old fast. The report of a larger-than-legal pistol going off made him flinch, as it did Drew.

Barely a second after she had thought about how unbelievable the situation she was in was, the ground below her had collapsed, and then she began to fall a 30-odd feet down into a chasm. “Ahh” Aisa softly huffed as her body hit the ground. She lay there for a second or so, with her eyes closed, trying to regain her senses. “Well that was something...” she muttered as she slowly pulled herself in an upward position. Her ears twitched slightly as she looked around her at her surroundings. There were some people who had landed further up then she did on a metallic.. thing.... At first, Aisa didn't recognize what the mass was, her eyes hadn't fully adjusted yet, but when they did, she immediately knew what it was. “The Valkyrie?!..” she whispered.

Aisa was so absorbed in her thoughts, that she barely noticed a man who was seemingly walking in thin air. “Oh my, oh my... so many of you here already. Humans...” the man said as he looked around. “Anthromoria...” he said as he glanced Zach, Reks, and Aisa. “Even the Netixel this monster tired to lure into his web of lies with a promise of a safe return home.” he rambled on in a sort of mocking manner. “And what a monster it is. Under the guise of a young man, lies quite a treacherous creature, fueled by raw fury and hate.” the man continued. Aisa mouth shifted into a frown as she watched the man walk down and continue speaking in his annoying manner. The man's manner of speaking was just so... aggravating for some reason, he spoke as if he knew everything.

The Face of Evil...

"And now th-" Gaiae was abruptly cut off as in the span of a mere second, he heard the telltale sound of a gunshot ringing in his ears and encruciating pain erupted all across his backside and abdomen. He staggered forward a step or two, a hand clenching his stomach. "Agh..!" Who?! He thought he had accounted for everyone present and no one could attack him from his blindside. Falling to his knees from the overwhelming pain, he managed to look over his shoulder at Taylor. His face told of agony, but also of hate. Gritting his teeth, his vision darkened as he slumped down to the stone floor.

Keith could only watch in shock as the target of his hatred was shot and just like that, fell to the floor, defeated. It couldn't have been that easy... that man was beyond normal, he was outright metaphysical! A bullet couldn't have finished him off, could it? But the truth seemed to have been laid bare before him as he stared at the unmoving body not too far away from him. A small nagging at the back of his head told him that this was supposed to have been his kill, his revenge! but he silenced such thoughts. He just felt so relieved he was finally free.

But as if he were the devil himself, without a tremble or quiver, Gaiae stood up to his two feet. "That can't be! He was dead a few seconds ago! He...! he's fading...?" Keith thought as he watched Gaiae's body quickly disingrate. The suit and pale skin he wore had turned into black ash, as had those scarlet eyes. Muscles and organs were clear as day for all to see, the hole left by the bullet particularily gruesome.

Out of the blue, the disengration halted and the fading corpse clenched its fists so hard they could shatter stone. It whipped around, the twin abysses that were now its eyes staring deep into Taylor's. "Shin luka'foi, quin iulq'nr coitt wjur'ta miut!" Keith could barely stiffle his scream of pain as the foreign voice reached his ears. Just listening hurt so much! The fact it was screaming like a banshee wasn't helping, either.

Sharp, needle-like fangs replaced the human set of teeth as the corpse's mouth stretched so wide it dismantled with a resounding 'snap'. The corpse's cheeks stretched and stretched until they were torn like wet paper, revealing a perpetual abyss much like the corpse's eyes. Instead of disengrating, the corpse was now regenerating, but instead of skin was growing a black armour-like hide much like Keith had adorned before he had been set aflame. Stripping itself of last resemblence to humans, a pair of spines shot out of the creature's shoulder blades in a repulsive fountain of blood. The spines kept on growing, spreading out into junctions and growing like the roots of a tree. Once the span of the spines reached twenty feet, the growth halted. A web of blue, translucent energy spread between the split spines like wildfire, creating a set of profaning wings. As a last act of transformation; a long, segmented tail ending with a stinger much like a scorpion's grew out from the back of his neck, coiling like a snake poised to strike.

This newly-formed Gaiae flashed Taylor a sickening grin. "I have to admit, I am at the end of my fervor of toying with you all... Time to die, morsels. I will feed on your flesh for many coming days." From the abyss of its mouth, a long black tongue flashed out to lick at the fangs.

---

Back at Jake and Tai's little group, they would see the witch running hurriedly back to them, panic and fright clear on her face. "No time for explanations, someone triggered that darn demigod's dead switch! I'm not allowed to conserve energy now, I am teleporting us there right away!" She glanced at Jake, kneeling at the dusty ground to draw a few bizarre symbols. "I trust you and Tai to care of him. I will not be suited for battle once I warp all of us there. Ready, set, now!" She exclaimed as she slammed her hand down onto it and all was engulfed in a blue light. The witch felt the spell drain away her strength andc she slipped into unconciousness. The others, however, would arrive still concious to the stone hall to witness this new face of evil.

The sun glared brightly through the gaping hole in the ceiling of the cylindrical chamber, which was too exquisitely carved to be of natural nature. Jason stared up at the blue skies with sun shining in his eyes. He lifted his hand and shielded his face from the bright sunlight and groaned. Slowly and carefully, he sat up and stretched, rolling his neck around a bit to ease the stiffness in his bones. He looked around and saw the huge chamber was lit by hundreds upon hundreds of lanterns. The lanterns were of an old age however, saying that this chamber was large. He stood up and then looked about more and realised he had landed near Elise, Raieon and the alien girl. On a ship... Jason recognised the features of the ground they stood upon was not really ground, but reinforced metal framing for a large ship. Perhaps not as big as the battleships of Sci-Fi yore, but large enough to be a real ship. Jason whistled in amazement as he then looked down to the bottom of the cavern, where there was a large pit. He then noticed Elise collapsed into Raieon's arms, Jason's face felt a little warmer than usual at the sight. Raieon picked up Elise in his arms, his face as passively plain as ever as he looked down on the alien girl.
'Get up, you don't look so bad now.' He said simply to the unconscious mass, and then turned around to see Jason standing there. Jason rubbed his neck and nodded to Raieon. Suddenly there was an explosion of sound and light as a shockwave passed the group, Raieon held his ground in front of the alien girl and Jason watched through the haze as he stood firm, a blazing figure covered in blue fire leapt a full ten metres off the ship with an unearthly scream. Jason gritted his teeth as he watched the figure fly before turning back to Raieon, and then noticing a slender man dressed in black walk by casually, oblivious of the group, his lax dress code clear and his wavy locks trailing down his back and shoulders. Jason sighed.
'This party gets even weirder by the minute...' Jason muttered.
Jason then saw Raieon put Elise down beside the alien girl and walk over to the edge after the slender madman descended into the pit below the ship, as if walking on invisible stairs from the sky. Jason then followed to Raieon's said and looked over the edge.

There he saw Reks, Zackary and Aisa standing in the pit below, the slender madman descending to greet them with his suit tails flapping in a non-existent breeze. As he did, he spoke words of omniscience and strange softness, the speech bouncing off the great walls of the chamber.
"Oh my, oh my... so many of you here already. Humans..." He began, looking around to the many other humans around the chamber. "Anthromoria..." He had then glanced to Reks, Zackary and Aisa. "Even the Netixel this monster tried to lure into his web of lies with a promise of a safe return home." The man then said. Jason racked his brain to think about who he was adressing, before glancing to the alien girl for a moment. He then turned back to the sight and saw the slender madman reached the bottom of the chamber, and had looked at the burnt monstrous figure that had leapt off the ship in desperado. "And what a monster it is. Under the guise of a young man, lies quite a treacherous creature, fueled by raw fury and hate." He chimed. Jason simply watched and waited for a moment to act.

"And now th-" The slender madman began, but was stopped by a single gunshot that was meant for only one person in the chamber, its loud bang sounding louder in its echoes during the silence, and the slender madman doubled over in two steps clenching his stomach. "Agh..!" The look of clear surprise and shock on his face as he looked over his shoulder, his surprised shock now turning to a furious anger. The slender madman then slowly slumped to the floor. Jason ruffled his hair.
'So much for wanna-be madmen walking out speaking worthless monologues.' He muttered, not expecting so much of a reaction from the anti-social guy beside him. Suddenly, to Jason's surprise, he watched the slender madman stand back up as if nothing had happened. Jason watched in amazement. 'This is like Jesus... Only he hasn't been crucified, not to mention he's unholy.' Jason joked, half serious in some way. He was also half right. He then saw that the body was disintegrating, the clothing, skin and flesh began to dissolve into black ash as it revealed the interior of the slender madman's body, muscles and organs displayed as if it was some science gist. The hole in the man's lower torso was particularly obvious, making the bullet seem powerful. There was a scream as the body ceased disintegrating and a distorted voice could be heard.
"Shin luka'foi, quin iulq'nr coitt wjur'ta miut!"

Suddenly, the body began to mutate and transform, its teeth turning into needle sharp fangs and the mouth stretched inhumanly wide and made a grotesque snapping noise. The cheeks of the body's face stretched out and then tore apart to reveal a void like the eye sockets of the face. Suddenly, the body began regenerating, but not as a human. Its skin began to transmutate into a thick black metal hide and a pair of spines shot out of the shoulder blades with an ensuing repulsive sight of the spraying of blood. The spines continued to grow until they reached about 20 feet long. A great glowing aquamarine glass web of lines spread through the gap, linking the pair of split spines to resemble profane wings. In a final transmutation, the figure finally grew a segmented tail with a stinger that resembled that of a scorpians, spawning instead from the back of his neck and coiling like a poised snake. Thi monstrous construct smiled sickeningly."I have to admit, I am at the end of my fervor of toying with you all... Time to die, morsels. I will feed on your flesh for many coming days." Out of the pit of its gaping mouth, a tongue almost as black as the void inside lashed out and licked its fangs. Jason folded his arms behind his head.
'Why do we have to get the fuglies to fight with now?' Jason asked, his question rhetorical. He then drew his blade and pistol and smiled. 'But if you ask me, this will be a lot of fun.' He then readied himself for a combat as he then focused on those he called allies. He then noticed another group teleport in with weapons ready and smiled. 'After all, parties are fun.' Jason said.

Suddenly, the loud clapping of a third party could be heard. Jason looked up and saw another rather slender man, yet a bit more built than the former. The man walked out and looked down upon the event from his wonderful spot on an balcony, his black coat swaying gently in a light breeze as he clapped his fine gloved hands together. Jason could recognise the long blonde hair that swayed in unison with his black coat and the silver venetian-like mask that adorned and obscured his upper face, giving the man the enigmatic look. Jason gritted his teeth and gripped his weapons tighter as he recognised the newcoming slender madman of a bastard. Masquerade... He thought. So what brings this asshole here? The man's chuckle above could be heard.
'I myself in a bewilderment, that all you meaningless little people are fighting a great monstrocity.' He announced in a majestic voice to the many below as he leaned on the railing in front of him to look down upon the little people as if he was their king. A rather enigmatic and insane sovereign at that. 'Oh don't mind me! I only came for the view of this magnificent ship. Tales have I heard of its great deeds far and wide throughout the cosmos, legends have I heard of its part in the grand acts it has played host too. Up until a fair amount of years ago, anyhow.' Masquerade chuckled a little more. 'So tell me, little dumplings, why have you bothered so much to band together and fight? I find it rather curious that so many unique and different people and Anthromorians would group together. I find this mingling rather, exquisite.' Jason then raised his katana up in a back hand stance and used the cross between the hilt, blade and handle for a steadying point for his pistol as he aimed.
'You fucking assholes talk too much.' Jason said coldly. He fired his pistol and the bullet flew true. Masquerade tilted his had at the sound before the plunge.

The bullet ricocheted off the walls of the chamber. There was silence before Masquerade's laughter could be heard echoing throughout the chamber. His figure distorted for a second, showing that he was nothing more than a hologram as he then looked down at the familiar boy.
'Jason Nero, we all play our parts for fate's grand design.' Masquerade began in a musing wise tone. 'Our roles are intertwine, so you cannot escape destiny's firm hand. Your time will come.' He finished. He then raised his hands to the people below and bowed. 'People of Earth, Anthromoria and meaningless magicks, I bid you all farewell! Cheerio!' The hologram then disappeared, a cue for the battle to proceed. Jason watched the balcony for a few more seconds yet before finally focusing on the matter at hand.

No sooner had the sorceress warped them to Gaiae's location did Cronic see his now twisted form. "...What that hell is that?!" Cronic said, drawing one of his two handguns and loading it with a clip he'd taken from his trenchcoat. "That must be the azure warlock the sorceress mentioned. Damn thing's sending shivers down my spine just looking at it." He thought to himself, and drew the other handgun, this one having already been loaded. "That leaves 7 spare clips. Haven't had much chance to stock up on ammo, due to the current orbital blockade. Not sure how effective it'll be here, but I'm not going to take any chances against that... thing!" He thought to himself, as spiralling streams of light and darkness appeared at his feet.
