Don't compare Hata with other authors.

Hata is amazing. His skill is formidable. Each short arc made by Hata always refreshes his true readers. There's no such thing as shallow short arc in his manga. Commercially, his long arc does draw new readers, but his short arc produces solid readers. Beside, he enjoys making short arc more than long arc. ^^

heh, don't worry bout those arcs. Hata's dealing with his Luka right now. im sure next volume will be full of short stories again like usual. Those short arcs are more like a sitcom, and you know how we like our sitcoms. XP Tho, i was really anticipating some short stories with atan before she got small for example (like what she does everyday or what if she just meets another char) but oh well. ^^;

1. The story is actually well-developed

2. The plot is engaging

3. The characters are lovable

4. The inter-character conflicts show their depth really well

5. The scenery that Hata draws is AMAZING

6. The manga is funny, but can be serious at times

7. The pacing is great

8. The many references are very interesting

9. Most of the plots aren't too long, so you won't have to spend so much time at once reading

10. There's a lot of character development



Yeah.

There isn't much fanservice in HnG. Most of it is perfectly justified, so you won't see any random guy crashing into a girl and ending up groping her.
