“Whatever you think is best, Sis. But one thing is for sure. We cannot even trust the only other human around” Violet sighed, for some reason she wanted to be able to trust someone, but indeed this act made it seem that only the little creature was to be trusted, if it wasn't to loyal to its not-so-trustworthy owner. Lara turned back to David and Violet herself also looked at him for the answer of his question, maybe if it made sense then he could still be trusted?
"Look, I'm as confused as you are. Cornelia gave me an odd crystal, and it just fused with my rifle and caused it to start talking. And just now he wanted to talk to Violet, so he asked me to put him onto the table. I have no idea how that would work, but surprisingly enough Violet did touch it. But right then I knew that a talking rifle which uses telepathy would probably scare someone out of their wits, so I took him back, and right now he's in my backpack. See?"
Violet nodded slowly, wondering why the thing wanted to get in her head to talk to her. Her brains worked over hours and then came to one decision. "Lara, we really have to get rid of that gun. It's messing with the guy's mind. If the gun is gone, we might be able to trust someone... I think we might end up needing that in this weird environment. And if of all reautres in here that could be a human, then it will only better. He should be able to understand. But that gun... we have to get rid of it else we have nowhere to begin trusting. Keep an eye on that woman that gave him that orb too. She might have more of those that can manipulate." SHe looked at the backpack with the gun then smiled. It might seem that she was happy it was in the gun, she was in a way. "As long as the gun is in the backpack we can just carry the backpack and toss it in some river or something. Don't you think?"
She carefully took a bite of the foot in front of her, because David didn't seem to eat much either, so there might be something wrong with it. Really a waste; so much food for so little people. Wheter it was safe to eat or not, it tasted delicious.
